V. GARMENTING STAGE
Sample examination procedure:
We
ensure that all measurements are
within the tolerance level as
specified on the specification
chart.
We check whether
Neck stretch is achievable - this
will be taken by stretching the
neck of the garment to the maximum
and measuring from seam to seam,
which must have atleast a stretch
of 28cm - this has no tolerance
We ensure that
the strechable thread is used
in all loopers
We check whether
all seams are secure, of correct
stitch density, bight, tensions
and also free from needle damages
We ensure whether
all amendments and make up points
requested at previous sealing
stage have been adhered to
We ensure whether
Fabric is free from shading, flaws,
stains and dirty marks
We check for
correct balance and alignment
of front hems, buttons, buttonholes,
pockets, flaps and any additional
style features
We check collars,
shoulders, lapels, pocket flaps
for uniformity in size and shape
We check whether
Plackets have square comers (top
and bottom comers)
We ensure that
zips, buttons, trims, collars,
pockets, labels etc are securely
sewn/ attached- pull test is submitted
if required - also see to passing
general product safety
We ensure that
badges, embroideries, print etc
are positioned correctly and straight.
We ensure whether
all reinforcing bar tacks are
correctly positioned
We ensure whether
garments are pressed correctly
and free from impressions, glazing
and over pressing
We ensure whether
garments are free from loose threads
and the ends are 'cleaned' from
the inside and outside of the
garment
We ensure whether
samples are labeled correctly
with style ref, size, sample stage
and date
